Being cut up by baker.

Bounces like wobbly jelly.

Almost ombré, the top is more brown than the sides.

As you move through the bustling crowd, people of all shapes and sizes push past. Buses and taxis meander down the wide road, stopping occasionally for red lights and bus stops. Tall buildings surround you, and when you look up, the sky seems so far away, unreachable. You take a sharp left turn and from the other side of the road, a window display catches your eye. Even from across the road, you get a waft of rich, warm, tantalising sweet which draws you in. As the lights work their mechanical routine back round to red, and the little man goes green, you nearly sprint across the road. The closer you get, the smell gets stronger, and you feel warmer inside. Nothing can get between you and your goal. And at last, you are in sight, and the sight couldn’t be sweeter: freshly baked cheesecakes, still steaming from the heat of the oven. Almost ombré in complexion, the cakes are dinner plate sized, and lightly browned. You press your nose against the glass window like a child at an aquarium and watch as they are cut up into pieces, perfectly, evenly sliced pieces. And when you simply can’t resist the temptation any longer, you march right into that shop, ignoring the big red ‘closed’ sign.
